bat wizard

this migration season, flying foxes are experiencing a mass starvation event. their usual food sources (nectar from flowering trees) blossomed earlier than normal this year due to a warmer/drier than average winter. bats are starving and dying in huge numbers all along the east coast of australia and wildlife rescue organisations from queensland to victoria have been on the frontline of it all, rescuing and rehabilitating starving/injured bats while educating and informing the public. many of these organisations operate without any funding from the government and they need all the help they can get, so go check out your local wildlife rescuer for more information on how you can help out or donate! ♡

100% of the profits from all crocheted bats will be donated to my local wildlife rescue organisation, FAWNA.
